Agreed, it also costs the NHS a lot of money to help them to quit.

Smoking tastes horrible. It shouldn't be ban, because the world will never agree. They have made an effort, people can't smoke in public places, now, people don't have to inhale smoke, there should be less problems.

It shouldnt be banned as people have a right to do wat they want with there lives but i think that there should be a maximum amount of nicatine in the fag.

I think that people have a right to do what they want if that corrisponds with the law. Smoking kills the person that smokes AND the people around that person.

People who do not smoke such as myself have a lot stronger will and are hard to manipulate since most people started smoking because there friends did it.

I for instance have been asked several times and did nit find it degrading at all to just walk away.

Who cares if it hurts the smoker... they're the ones smoking. It should be banned per place... not completely banned.

It hurts other people AROUND the smoker though... it can really hurt your health if you are just around someone who is smoking.

You should have the right to do whatever it is that you want to your own person. But, I don't agree that people should be allowed to harm others with their vices, such as smoking. So if you're in an open place, best to be outside, then sure smoke away if that is what you want.

Ex smoker here, have been cigarette free for about one year now.

The only second hand smoking that i see as a problem is parents smoking around their kids a lot. Else, I can't see it doing much damage health wise.

It should be banned in restaurants especially. It is one thing if the smoker wants to kill himself but if another person dies from second hand smoke is wrong.

It should be banned, the government know that it's bad for everyone's health so at the first place, it should have been banned.

But LaSinda does have a point about involving others.
