Illustration

Hello and Assalam alaikum,

Illustration is really ace, and I love illustrating, but I don't mean like drawings/cartoons and stuff like that, I'm talking about the more wider meaning, anything can be classed as illustration now, huh?

So who likes illustrating? What kinda work do you do? What materials/hints/tips and things do you suggest for others who like illustration?

I use illustrator to create logos? lol. :p

I try realism and stuff but I utterly fail.

Illustrator is very useless to me...i just dont really like it, its not comfy, and it JUST does not fit my style.
(maybe its cause i have no idea how to use it)

well the first way i really got into art was by drawing
drawing, drawing and drawing some more (i've been "good" ever since i was in grade 1 lol all i ever heard was "OMG YOUR DRAWNIG IS SO GOOD!!!" it hasn't stopped yet >.>)
it was only recently (2 months ago) when i first got into digital graphics...so yeah, i think it's handy if you touch on everything but thaat would be a lot to learn and a lot to know...XD

someoneinsane, I seriously reccommend investing some time learning Illustrator. It is amazing once you know what it can do

Illustrator is awesome but i just hate how you can't assign certain shortcut keys to some stuff and how you can use the tracking ball on the mouse to pan around and you need to hit "H" everytime for the hand tool and zooming in and out is a hassle cause you have to press "Z" all the time...
