Pen tool trouble

ive just tried out using the pen tool and im havin a bit of trouble.....

i need to ask 2 things:
1. how do i turn it into colour, cos at the moment its just a wavy line
and 2. HOW DO I WORK IT?!?!?!?! lol

when you click the pen tool their are to pens the one you had and one next to it with a wavy line coming out of the nib use that (its the free hand one)

ok ive tried that, but ive looked at some tuts and in them the line is a lok thinker and its in colour, how do i change that?

i dunno then cause i use the brush not pen tool cause i like thicker lines sorry

Take a look at my screenshot on how to make your pen tool draw with colour.

When you select the pen tool, at the top in the bar choose the option I have highlighted.
