Youtube music videos blocked

What do you guys think of this...........
Music videos have been blocked to UK users because of a row over licensing with the PRS, the organisation that collects the royalties for its members.
Patrick Walker from Youtube has said they are still working towards a mutual acceptable agreement, but at this time the PRS have not responded.
Could be the end of Youtube if they cant host music videos me thinks.

I think youtube should have a music section, where you can only upload audio.

Even the audio music is under scrutiny as being allowed to be uploaded, unless some agreement is made things could go downhill for Youtube, and then Veoh will be next in the firing line.

Yes!
Because it should only apply when someone is making money off of them,
i do think that was the original law, oh well...

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i think youTube does make money off of them. Because of the traffic they get on their site they have advertisements that pay them for every visitor they get.

I also find this extremely stupid and annoying with the rest of you. It's pointless to mute a video of a 4 year old dancing to a song. Oh, they can't have us listening to it unless we pay. Bull. That's why I listen to a lot of free lance artists.

This has really p****d me off, alot of the music i like that was on there has been taken off and i cant find it anywhere else

thing is its not just videos. alot of audio alot has been taken off and replaced with something completely different

i don't like youtube because it takes out decent music because of WMG copyright and i don't have a favorite sharing site anymore

yeah i find youtube a lot less favorable currently

it seems to have lost its charm after Youtube Live.

rather unfortunate, too, because i used to go there a lot when i had absolutely nothing to do. now... it's more of a chore.
